Recommended rates of pay for church musicians

NOTE:

Under the terms of the Competition Act 1998 the ISM and RSCM can no longer publish annual recommended fees. A new system for providing information on fees charged by freelance professional musicians that will comply with the Act is currently being developed. Meanwhile, information and guidance is given on the fee recommendations for 2004, the last year for which the ISM was able to publish fees in this format. Fees are a matter of individual negotiation. They have normally been increased annually by the rate of inflation – the Retail Price Index (RPI).
